Yes, we can meet in person, but I am only available in my NYC office one day a week. All other sessions are conducted virtually via phone or Zoom.
I work with a range of age groups, including children starting at age 12, teenagers, college-age individuals, and adults
I work with individuals from diverse cultural, ethnic, and religious backgrounds. My goal is to foster a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment for all clients.
During the first session, clients can expect a warm and supportive environment where we focus on building a connection and understanding your needs. I’ll ask questions to learn about your goals, challenges, and background, and I’ll explain how the therapy process works. We’ll also review practical details, such as confidentiality, and address any questions you may have. By the end of the session, my goal is to ensure you feel comfortable and supported, with a clear plan for how we can work together moving forward.
I ensure a safe and confidential environment by strictly adhering to professional and legal confidentiality standards, including HIPAA compliance. Client records are securely stored using encrypted systems, and virtual sessions are conducted on secure, compliant platforms. I strive to create a supportive, judgment-free space where clients feel respected and comfortable sharing at their own pace. Additionally, I clearly explain the limits of confidentiality, such as situations involving potential harm, to ensure clients are fully informed and protected.
The differences between therapy and coaching lie in their goals, methodologies, and the areas they focus on. Both aim to help individuals improve their lives, but they do so in distinct ways.
Therapy focuses on healing past wounds and addressing mental health issues like anxiety, trauma, or depression, with licensed professionals using evidence-based methods to improve emotional well-being. Coaching, on the other hand, is future-oriented and goal-driven, helping individuals optimize performance and achieve personal or professional objectives through structured plans and accountability. While therapy is highly regulated and suited for emotional healing, coaching is less regulated and ideal for mentally healthy individuals seeking growth and guidance. Both have distinct roles but may overlap in tools and techniques to support personal development.
My hourly rate ranges from $250 to $300 per session, depending on the type and length of the session. I also offer a sliding scale in certain situations.
My standard sessions are 50 minutes long, but longer sessions can be arranged upon request and are billed on a pro-rated basis. Sessions provided through Lyra and Modern Health are reimbursed for 45 minutes.
I am an out-of-network provider for insurance companies, but I can provide you with a superbill to submit to your insurance for reimbursement. However, I do accept two EAP insurance providers: Lyra and Modern Health.
My cancellation policy requires clients to provide at least 48 hours’ notice before a scheduled session to avoid being charged. This policy is strictly enforced, except in cases of emergency.
